Babe

Pop band from Glasgow / Bareback in Barbados

We sneaked in a little cheeky gig when François & the Atlas Mountains supported Slow Club in Sheffield. Unfortunately, two mega babes were missing (Michael and Lauren) but the other four hid the fact that they had not rehearsed nor played together for almost a year. Big props to Rob Hunter. Not only was it his first time playing drums with Babe,  he only listened to the album a few times before.

We like to keep it fresh. Very fresh.

Back in Barbados

Babe got itself a lovely new computer this week. Work on the album can resume.

The babes will spend the festive period together, finishing off bits and bobs, promising you something very early in 2012. We tried to be the Pet Shop Boys, sending things over the internet, but let’s be honest, there’s nothing more fun than getting six total babes together in a Glasgow tenement and sweating it out the old fashioned way.

Gros bisous

Wish you were here

Two Babes trapped in a gallic ghetto, many others in a Cameroonian nightmare. We didn’t consent to any of this. Where can we escape to together?

Basically, you’ve got to keep on truckin’ through the dark times, because we can literally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Local Living

I’m going to live in Amaury’s Local (his studio/playroom) all next week for maximum music making. Album half way there we reckon.

Colour me amazed

Colombia was incredible… and now I’m back with two weeks off. And in that two weeks? ALBUM ALBUM ALBUM ALBUM.

What Babe done today

He done FARC-ed off to COLOMBIA. Hidden in da Jongle. Pipin up da sniff.

Honestly that’s completely true.

Well, the bit about Colombia is anyhoo-hoo.

m qu'est-il arrivé?

RT @Babe want to shout into the big black hole that it is Twitter. It’s brilliant here.
